Unforunately there are severe bugs in the war generation part of the andromdapp plugin with 3.1-M1...these have been fixed in the latest build, so you can try that if you'd like (just change the version to 3.1-RC1-SNAPSHOT) when installing the maven-andromdapp-plugin like you did for 3.1-M1.
