Woulter, looks like a good approach which would be made easier with a well structured model comprised of independent packages.
This may not be the case for Safaa - particularly if the model is based on some of the XML financial services standardsi.e. SWIFT, FinXML, ACORD. From my brief look at some of these they seem to be monolithic and would require a fair bit of work to restructure - hence the problem of sucking it all up in one go. (hmm maybe a cartidge that takes DTD/XML Schema and converts to XMI might be of interest - maybe one day when I know enough :) ) Safaa - am I right - what standards are you using? Maybe someone else has experience in this area (although I suspect not many have). BTW - maybe we should separate the threads and discuss the issue of dealing with large models in the Modelling Patterns forum. _________________________________________________________ Reply to the post : http://galaxy.andromda.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3890#3890 Posting to http://forum.andromda.org/ is preferred over posting to the mailing list! ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Andromda-user mailing list Andromda-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/andromda-user
