And I finally fixed the X part, so you don't depend on kernel event based applications: http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2637 And yes, it works in kernel 2.6.21. But wiring of CE-RH1 is different and you may need fixes in the driver. I personally use mpc/mpd (compiled locally on Zaurus) and key binding in my icewm. Decent GUI based media player is still missing.
