My latest builds (https://github.com/cbrake/oe-build-core) are based on
meta-angstrom and meta-oe (HEAD), and seem to be using the neon vfp:

alsa-utils_1.0.25-r2_armv7a-vfp-neon.ipk

I've not done any benchmarking yet, but I assume this is using "hard"
floating point.

You may get a similiar result with the Angstrom setup scripts, but don't
know for sure.
