Any thoughts?
Seems I should change the [Wired] section in the settings file, but I can't
seem to find what options are valid, this seems to be an area where
documentation is lacking.
Ok, this is very strange.
I decided to try installing connman-tests per this link:
http://www.gigamegablog.com/2012/02/06/beaglebone-linux-101-assigning-a-static-ip-address-with-connman/
My thinking was that if I installed and updated the configuration, I could
look in the settings files for connman and see what had changed...however
I tried to add connman-tests to my image recipe, but it was not found. So,
I figured I would download it on the BeagleBone using opkg on the 'Bone. I
did that and made sure to sync before rebooting, to make sure all files
were written.
Upon rebooting I run into the /etc/pam.d/common-session problem where the
pam_systemd.so needs to be commented out, or it will not let you log in. I
did that and reboot, but no network is started...very odd...and restartign
connman doesn't do a thing...WTF, this stuff just doesn't seem to work
properly.
If I wanted to pull out connman and setup networking properly using
/etc/networking/interfaces, can that easily be done? Seems I'm screwed
without a bunch of work in the recipes.
Any comments?
I saw that Koen was wrestling with getting a static going, from one of the
blog posts he made. This should be easier, IMO...I'm stumped...
connman seems to be as problematic on Ubuntu, in my experience.
