OK, these will let me edit a particular entry, such as Abiword (or, the
one I created, for LyX, since it didn't have its own). But, still I
don't see what tells matchbox (if it is matchbox that controls these)
what folder in which view, and what to put in each folder. Root.order
lists an order of folders, but adding a folder "Applications" to that
list does not add that folder, even after a re-boot. Also, some apps,
like the pim apps, appear on the root background, not in a folder. I
would like to configure that as well.

The files in /usr/share/applications contain the configs for each app,
including a list of possible folders (I think), icon, etc., but what
file configures which app goes where? How can I add folders (on the
root screen, or...)??

Sorry to nudge, but for me this will add usability to the machine.
