Hi, the Tosa-images are in a stadium of beeing unusable, since about 3 month.
I will describe the issues:
+ In the beginning of Angstrom-development x11-images were offered which one
could use, ipkg-linking all installed programms. This procedure was
complicated and shaky. Then the x-11 images became larger and the whole
memory was used, so that installing one small programm caused an overflow of
memory. I constantly reported here and in the bugtracker. The advice was to
use altboot.
+ Then consequently console-images were offered using altboot in order to
create loop-images on sd-card (and cf-card). But altboot doesn't work. [which
is strange to me because it was stable and easy to use before...] It creates
images now which are not detected by the programm afterwards. They are on the
SD-card in the right place (under boot-images), but altboot doesn't
recognize. This behaviour was also reported here and confirmed by other
users.
+ With the latest images I can do nothing at all. There is no console created
and the Fn-keys of the keybord are without function. Typing "ifup wlan0" ist
impossible, because Fn creates "C". So upgrading and installing is
impossible, moreover altboot seems not to be integrated in the initial
image - so I am stuck in a vicious circle...
Best, Sebastian
