Hi, I'm using Kmeaw's modified SDG Bootloader. The bootloader looks on a FATxx CF card for a bootloader menu, and attemps to run it. If it fails, it returns to the internal flash. In the bootloader menu, you can define different parameters, including the boot partition. My menu setup specifies an ext3 formatted SD card as the root folder, and from there everything else is just as normal. Speed wise, I can't really notice anything different, but I'm not a pro on system performance and tuning.
As for the SD ejection on an hx4700, it looks like your is far more sensitive than mine; I haven't yet had an accidental eject, no matter how hard I press on anything around the SD reader. Shout if you want a copy of my bootloader menu! Kind regards, JLangbridge On Tue, 2008-07-15 at 15:20 +0200, Guenter Resch wrote: > Dear all, > > thanks for your insightful feedback!
