Hi Jeff, It isn't ready now, but it's close. However, given the track-record of the core team, I would play sure, and use the old router for now. However, you can test the new one, it's available, and if it does now what you need, you can use it already. As far as I know now, the new router should be in 1.4. but there are no hard guarantees.
