I have a webapp that im creating right now that uses CodeIgniter for the
backend, and this is just version 1.0, which were just trying to get out so
we can have a version of it out there.

We plan on starting the work on 2.0 pretty much right when 1.0 is released,
and it will use Laravel for the backend, and AngularJS for the front end.

1.0 should be done in about 2 or 3 months, and we plan on taking anywhere
from 5 to 8 months working on 2.0, so with this timeline, would you guys
agree that AngularJS 2.0 is the best route to take? Ive had a few people
suggest that I create 2.0 with angular 1, then whenever I create a 3.0, use
AngularJS 2.0 for that. But I dont really want to plan that far ahead.

Also, I should note that I have pretty much NO Angular experience. The
languages/frameworks im most experienced in is
Perl/PHP/MySQL/CodeIgniter/Wordpress/jQuery, so I think I can pretty easily
pick up AngularJS, I just dont want to spend time learning Angular 1.0 when
2.0 is right around the corner, id like to release my app 2.0 with the
latest version of everything.

Also, the app im creating wont be using NodeJS, it will run on a basic LAMP
stack. I want to redo my justinhyland.com website on AngularJS 2.0 just to
get my foot in the door and get started with Angular 2.0. I cant find any
decent tutorials for AngularJS 2.0 that doesnt revolve around NodeJS and
NPM.

So, questions...

   1. Do you agree that with my timeline above (Starting 2.0 in about 3
months, releasing it in about a year) that AngularJS 2.0 is the best way to
   go?
   2. Anyone have any good tutorials to recommend for AngularJS2 that
   DOESNT use NodeJS?

Thanks!
