Hello all,

I have been developing web application for several years using mostly
Coldfusion (OO) Frameworks (MVC), SQL, CSS, HTML5 and mostly jQuery for my
JavaScript programming.

I have the opportunity to help build a SPA. There will be one developer
that is building the websocket for the app, and my responsibility will be
to write the front-end, responding to, and sending data through the
websocket.

It seems like Angular would be a good fit for the front-end solution, but I
am not experienced in Angular and am an intermediate JavaScript developer.
It seems that most of the functions that will need to be written will be
to look at an array of permissions for example, and show and hide
functionality based on the information sent via the websocket once the user
is logged in. There may need to be other libraries or tools for testing
and working with performance issues that I am not familiar with.

Considering my basic skill set, does it seem feasible that I could learn
Angular over the course of the next few weeks and make a viable
contribution to this project? I don't want to over promise a client, but
then again, in our world of web development it seems that we always are
needing to "hop on" for the wild ride into new technology everyday!

That said, if it seems legitimate to pursue this, does anyone have a
recommendation for learning that would get me up to speed for this project?

TIA!
Lynn
