I agree with Judy this is a frustration and while I recognise that this is an open source project in development it does seem to be lacking a few basics such as 'undo' and 'save/export' facilities.
Having said that I think this is going to be great and look forward to seeing a further stage in development. Some of us don't have the necessary computing knowledge to contribute and I guess we need to be patient. However you do need to create something which is usable by non coders.
