*!!! BREAKING NEWS !!!*

The talk / performance schedule has been finalized. Check out the amazing
people of SkullSpace as they present on the following diverse array of
music-themed topics at our June Hackathon. THIS EVENT IT OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC!

*13:30 "Music Library Visualization" - Robert Keizer (30 mins)*

- Current music players do a pretty poor job of visually showing a
collection of music. Explore your own music collection, see the outliers
and the similarities. Gain insights into personal preferences you wouldn't
otherwise recognize.

*14:30 "Classic Music" (Live From Denmark!) - Justin Lacko (1 hour)*
- Often the term "classical music" is used to encompass the entire genre of
music before the 20th century. But did you know that the Classical period
of music was only from around 1730-1820? Using Harmonia Mundi's 20-disc
collection of music through history, this talk will attempt to sample and
briefly discuss music from the time of the ancient Greeks up to present day.

*15:30 "Distortion 101" - Troy Denton (30 mins)*
- This talk covers the basic operation of classic guitar distortion
circuits. Topics include basic amplifier and transistor theory, with
attention to how distortion circuits modify the tone of an audio signal.
Two classic distortion circuits will be analysed and discussed.

*16:30 "Music On Youtube" - Brittany Postnikoff (30 mins)*
- Content TBA

*17:30 Live Performance - Sarah "The Awesome" Lacroix (30+ mins)*
- Sarah will dazzle us with a mixture of her own material and her own takes
on a few of other folks' songs.

Hope to see you there!

*** NOTE: The day will likely end in a jam, so please feel free to bring
instruments!*
