THERE IS NO GENERAL DISCOUNT CODE FOR MAX. SORRY.

Folks, at the last ACFUG meeting, a discussion arose about an alleged discount code being offered to user groups. Indeed, someone showed an email from another user group offering a specific code, and they had tried it at the adobe site and it worked (dropped the conference price by 200 on the reg screen and payment required).

Unfortunately, I have confirmed with the Adobe user group manager that the code is NOT one that just anyone can use, and in fact he would be responsible for reviewing all the submissions using that code. If he saw a registration that was not from an authorized person (again, he knows who should be using it), then you would be asked later to pay the difference or cancel the registration.

As I said that night, there is a user group managers mailing list where any such codes are offered if they are to be shared widely, and I always do that immediately. There has been no such publicly available code for Max, unfortunately. Folks may well receive word of special discounts directly to them from Adobe (I've heard of that happening), but those are not to be shared. Again, they may work--but then you may get docked later if you were not authorized to use it.

So the best discount is the current early bird discount, at $1095. There appears to be nothing more than that.
