On August 14, telephone companies can file challenges with the FCC to have
areas that you may serve with broadband and voice declared "unserved" so
they can receive federal subsidies. WISPs will have an opportunity to
respond, but the FCC has established detailed procedures and criteria, and
will require specific kinds of evidence for WISPs to successfully defend
their turf. WISPA lawyers Steve Coran and Scott Pippin will lead this
important discussion.
