On Monday, July 14th at 12:05 AM PST, two ballot emails will be sent out to all of the Principal Contacts for each Member Company of WISPA. One ballot will be for the WISPA Election and one ballot for the WECAT Election. If you receive a ballot but feel you are not the most qualified person in your company to vote in the election, please forward it to the person who should vote. Please copy [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> so I am aware of the substitution. If you do not receive a ballot but feel you should have, please check with other people in your office first. If your spam filter has blocked or deleted your email ballot and you are not able to recover it, please contact your election administrator so that they can either resend you your email ballot (after you have adjusted your spam filter settings to allow electionbuddy emails) or send you a voting key. Please try to adjust your spam filtering settings before Monday morning. The ballots will come from electionbuddy Elections <[email protected]>.
For the WISPA Election, there are 12 candidates vying for 4 positions. You can view their applications at http://wispa.org/2014-wispa-wecat-board-of-directors-election. The 4 candidates receiving the most votes will fill the vacancies for a 2 year term beginning on or about August 1st. There will be a spot to enter a Write In Candidate. If you decide you want to nominate someone or yourself, please write the nominee in the comment field at the bottom of the ballot. The write in candidates will be placed on a list and one candidate will be selected by the Executive Director of WISPA to fill the 7th position on the WECAT Board for a term of 1 year.
