Hey Greg, Thanks for the reply :) I am trying to do both (1) and (2) as mentioned by you. Earlier we were trying to connect to the remote(AIX) machines from a linux box. We have been successful in doing so. However, the connectivity being poor, the plan changed to setting up ansible on the AIX machine itself. There by making it easier to deploy. And in the process we are facing difficulty to get pip(to install ansible) on that AIX machine. We are new to an AIX environment and hence facing these basic difficulties.
