Martin: Looking at the 1.3 (stock) Chmod.java (I know its not yours). I see an "OS" validity check that is inappropriate for my OS. Yes I run NT 4, but I also have a port for chmod. As you review your code, would you think about ways to allow seemingly invalid Win32 users to specify an override.
Having the initial indication that Win32 is not a viable platform to execute on, by default is fine. Just allow those who configure the environment to be more neutral to utilize the functionality if they can. As I get time, I'll figure out Bugzilla and report this inconvenience against the 1.3 Chmod.java. -----Original Message----- From: Martin van den Bemt [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, August 03, 2001 6:53 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Reminder: [SUBMIT] Attr, a chmod equivalent for Windows we were talking about chown chgrp and chmod.. > I just sneak in into the thread to remind you that the 'Attr' task (at the > origin for the thread) runs on Windows and can be tested on NT... > > Jerome
