Did you try: 

$ cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvspublic login
password: anoncvs

(Type in "anoncvs" [no quotes] at the password prompt.)

$ cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvspublic checkout
[module-name]

(Replace "[module-name]" with "jakarta-ant-antidote" [no quotes].)
