The survey is made among respondents at the age above 16. The latest data were acquired at the end of July. About 19.1% of the households are getting deeper into debt, another 6.3% are spending their savings for daily expenses. Some 5.4% of the households succeed to save certain amounts of money, another 0.1% say they save much money. Nearly half of the Bulgarians, or 49.5%, believe their financial status has not changed over the past 12 months. A total of 41.4% say their finances have worsened. Only 8.2% of the Bulgarians report improved financial status. About 18.3% of the interviewed expect their finances to improve next year, 13.7% expect them to worsen. More than half of the households do not expect changes in their incomes. The economic situation in this country has not chanced for the last 12 months, according to 42% of the interviewed. Another 32.4% believe it has deteriorated. One third of the people expect the situation to improve in the next 12 months. Half of the households expect inflation to rise. About 32.7% believe unemployment will remain unchanged.
