Kuwait had been caused by pollution from United States ships in
the region."Travellers who arrived in Amman from Kuwait have said that the
scandal of the death of thousands of tonnes of fish in the Kuwaiti
coasts is caused by poisonous radioactive and chemical
materials leaked from the US aircraft carriers and ships that
cruise in the territorial waters of Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf," the
radio said.It quoted Kuwaitis in Amman as saying there was "unequivocal
proof" that the pollution arose from "cooling operations for
nuclear reactors of the US and Western aircraft carriers in the
Gulf and the dumping of these wastes in water"."A statement issued by the US Embassy in Kuwait admitted that
the US forces stationed at Al-Dawhah camp in Kuwait produce
several kinds of waste, including chemical waste, in addition to
other materials such as fuel and lubricants, which are pumped
