"I think you are right on with your desription of the education system.
But, I'm assuming you could apply that argument to just about everything.
Indeed, whether we admit it or not, we are all tied into the capitalist
system.
Even when we buy basic necessities, we are reinforcing the system.
That is why the system needs to be completely overhauled, not fine-tuned.
"
Yes - if you live in a capitalistic country - or anywhere in the world for
that matter - you are connected somehow to capitalism. When you buy tennis
shoes at Target you may be connected to slavery - not knowing where the
shoes came from. But re education I see this difference. The education
system is paid for by the capitalist state and exists as its propaganda
organ. This is more specifically assisting the capitalist class than growing
carrots in you back yard and selling them to your neighbors. There are ways
to support your self that do not directly serve the interests of people like
Bush. Imagine someone with a very sophisticated technical education. All the
money in that field was made by people working for defense firms or taking
government software contracts. One could chose not to do these things,
perhaps writing software for hotels.
