I believe this is a myth that Rugova's movement for independence for Kosovo was "non-violent". He fully supported the NATO bombing campaign, and he stated on the Three-year Anniversary of the NATO bombing recently that he felt grateful to NATO, and said words to the effect that the NATO bombs lit up the skies of Kosovo with hope.
