Judicial Watch suing Cheney Halliburtons accounting practices to be challenged ASSOCIATED PRESS MIAMI, July 10 Vice President Dick Cheney and Halliburton Co., the oil company he ran for five years, are being accused of accounting fraud by a watchdog group. The lawsuit, which is expected to be filed Wednesday in federal court in Dallas, also names 10 of Halliburtons board members. Klayman said auditor Arthur Andersen LLP will also be named in the lawsuit. We're looking for millions of dollars in damages. Were looking to hold Vice President Cheney and others accountable, Klayman said. We have no faith in the Bush administration and we have no faith in the Securities and Exchange Commission's investigation. Judicial Watch, a private, conservative group, has sued for access to records of the Cheney-led energy task force that drafted the Bush administration's energy policy. The allegations against Cheney came on the same day that President Bush called for tougher penalties to fight the corporate corruption that has engulfed several high profile companies in recent months. Bush himself has come under criticism for transactions he made while a director at Harken Energy Corp. in the early 1990s. He has denied any wrongdoing..................... Sounds like Bush has set a trap and is about to be caught in it himself, along with Cheney and some more of the crooks that came to Washington with him. Remember now, when Bush was selected to act as president, he chose his cabinet, who did he choose? All of his lawyer buddies that dealt in shady deals, all of the lawyers who defended him in tax court, for tax evasion are all now in his cabinet. This just maybe the beginning of the end of the Bush fiasco, pray hard and often.
