Speaking after a meeting with President Boris Trajkovski on 27 September, NATO's Crisis Management and Operations Directorate head, Robert Serry, said the two discussed the extension of the mandate for NATO Operation Amber Fox, Macedonian media reported. Serry stressed that he is upbeat about NATO's future role in Macedonia, an issue he discussed with leaders of the SDSM, which will head the next government.
