That's not a bad idea, but the problem does not appear on another server
running the same 3.0 version (although they are running on different OS's,
the problem is happening on a version running NT4.0 while the other system
is running Win2000). The good thing is that its the production system which
is working and the test which is not. I don't know if this has been
happening for the entire time or not. I just looked back in my database and
its possible that this never worked.

If this is a known bug, are they any details provided or conditions under
which it might happen? I would rather not have to change my production
server and I don't want to run dev and prod at different levels, but its not
doing me much good if the dev system fails all the time.

Suggestion #1: Try using AOLserver 3.3.1 and see if the problem
persists.

This definitely sounds like a bug that has been fixed a long while
back.
