A guy I know - a research biochemist who is very fit and in his mid-fifties but has been having episodes of skipping heart beats, racing etc - was given a really cool device by OHSU, our local med school. They were unable to trigger any episodes when he was there in person, on the treadmill, etc so he triggers this device whenever he has an episode, then goes to the phone and uploads the data over a modem.
