Thanks. Perhaps the best thing is to use UTF-8 for the whole site instead of iso-xxxx ? Can there be problems with browsers (IE, Opera, Linux browsers...)

Anyway, I You are correct, iso8859-1 predates the Euro symbol. You need to use iso8859-15 instead.
