Exactly what version of 4.0 are you running?
I think the whole business of subtracting the header bytes from
nContentSent is problematic in the event where even the header doesn't
get a chance to be written back to the socket (leaving us with a
negative number, which nslog treats as unsigned, thus the very large
number showing in the logs).
