We tried it like one year ago, but also with an early version of FreeBSD 6 (or 5.3, I don't recall exactly) on a Dual Opteron 64 bits, and we had many problems both with the Operating System and the applications, so we reverted to 32 bits. We plan to test AOLServer CVS version with FreeBSD 7 (also TCL 8.5 and PostgreSQL 8.3... we're even switching from SATA to SCSI drives!) in a few weeks. If we get any issues, I will report the problems here, so we can track them down. > > Has any of you AOLServer working on 64 bits? > > Sure, I've been using AOLserver 4.0.10.x for years on x86-64. I hope we can solve the problems (if any) after my *major* server upgrade.
