OK

I backed off on using RH 9 and loaded a very lite RH 8.

Installed apache-fp rpms as per instructions.

Ran owsadm.exe

Verified that default apache page loads.

Verified that FP admin page loads.

Checked logs.

So far so good.

I'm a little gun shy at this point so I'm crossing my proverbial t's and
dotting my i's.

I ran

ls -lR /etc/httpd > perms.txt
and
ls -lR /user/local/frontpage >> perms.txt

I compared the output to the tables on technet

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/sharepnt/proddocs/admindoc/owsk02.asp

and
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/sharepnt/proddocs/admindoc/owsk03.asp

My permissions are not what is laid out on technet.

Is this normal for josh's apache-fp?

Should I run default_perms.sh?

Should I create virtual web and leave root web untouched (not extended)?

Does /etc/httpd/wwww
and below need to chowned to apache:apache?

Thanks,
John
