Robert Robinson,

Have you been to this site:

http://www.jnux.net/community/apachefp//install.htm

I just followed it, and I got it working on Fedora Core2 with no
problems. I ran into some problems early on, but just removed all of my
FP files and started over and it worked with no problem. Creating
subwebs and changing webs to FP with no problem.

You seem to be the only one out there that knows anything about setting up Frontpage
extentions on Fedora. I am desperate for help. I have read all of the threads and
can't seem to get it to install. Near the end of the installation I get the error:

"ERROR: '80'server is not a valid virtual server"

I have tried changing the settings in http.conf to:

Listen *:80
Listen 0.0.0.0:80

and
Listen 192.168.1.3:80

I have tried:

ServerName abydos
ServerName abydos:80
ServerName StarGate.abydos.com:80
and
ServerName StarGate.abydos.com

I am not running DNS on the server so I have a host file with all of the above looking
at 127.0.0.1 & 192.160.1.3

Help!

I am almost thinking that the installation is working it is the ROOT web that is the
problem. How do I check that?

Is there a bug in fp_install.sh? Should I run the commands manually from the
Frontpage Directory?

What do I do?

THanks!

Rob Robinson
