Sorry to hear that, but I knew from several years ago, that Josh had said don’t use up2date to update httpd and a couple others, but since so much had changed, and I upgraded my servers recently to Fedora, I didn’t know if the same still applied, use to be that there was a special httpd Josh had to work with FPSE, but now its not the case, but I take it from your experience that you still cant do it, but if I remember right, you will probably have to uninstall FPSE, and reinstall it, but httpd and such should be fine. I THINK, someone correct me if I am wrong.

Well, I should have known better.. I took a perfectly good working FP  running on RHEL and did the up2date and now none of the frontpage features work. I always get

(13)Permission denied: unable to connect to cgi daemon after multiple tries: /usr/local/frontpage/version5.0/apache-fp/_vti_bin/fpexe

Anyone have any ideas?

Subject: [Apache-FP] up2date

Hey,

Is there any reason why I shouldn’t run up2date to update everything ? Even the kernel and apache ?

I don’t want to break my FPSE install by doing it, so is there a package I shouldn’t update?

Thanks,

Bryan
