I have a feeling I need to contact Dreamhost support to allow wildcard DNS on my VPS.
Or maybe I should abandon APE and try a comet server that is easier to work with for newbies? :p Since this is a commercial project, I don't mind paying for a commercial comet server with support. Any good ones to recommend?
