Using ApePubSub instead of the APE javascript on the client side, we figured out why you need the DNS stuff. If you are using one of the new browsers, FireFox, Chrome... when using sockets, Only 1 socket per URL address, So if you open two tabs in your browser to the same web site. It will fail. So APE implemented that each tab and session reconnect will use a different URL ie: 0.ape.web.com (tab 1) 1.ape.web.com (tab2) If tab 1 refreshes it will use 2.ape.web.com and so on
