How many is that? 5 % ?

This makes it possible to only reach the tiny percentage of iPhone users
that have jailbreaked their phone and use alternative stores like Cydia.

Considering that Android already have the double number of users (
http://marketingland.com/us-smartphone-share-android-now-47-percent-apple-29-percent-others-decline-5249)
I'd say we would get next to no benefit from a working iPhone
implementation, compared with Android.

And after Android a Blackberry/RIM port would obviously be the next step.

Heck, there exists probably even more Microsoft phones than iphone Cydia
users. I searched but could only find some numbers around 2 million users.

Its the same, more or less. Just a matter of startup configuration.

Fine. I'd cut away the 2 weeks of iPhone investigation as it seems next to
useless to me and would use the time for this stuff instead, but I can
imagine you'd like to do the ios stuff as you are working with ios already.
