I initially considered developing an Apertium plugin for LibreOffice, but
the whole thing looked much more complicated than what I expected and I
abandoned the idea. I basically know nothing about LibreOffice, and I guess
that it would be a pretty simple task for somebody with some experience
with it, but it definitely looks harder than the OmegaT stuff from a
newcomer's perspective. Anyway, most of the existent code for
Apertium-Caffeine or the OmegaT plugin would probably be reusable, the real
challenge consists of interfacing with LibreOffice. I don't really know
what is expected from a GCI student, but I would say that this task would
be too much for it, and too little for a whole GSoC.
