Hello everybody,

my name is Federico Gobbo and I currently work at
the University of L'Aquila, Italy. Machine Translation
and Esperanto are two of my favourite topics of interest,
so I aswered positively to the call launched among
Esperantophones by Hèctor Alòs i Font and Jacob Nordfalk,
who are active in the Apertium community.

I will supervise a MA in Computer Science, whose topics
is Machine Translation and in particular Apertium. My aim
is to mentor the student in adding an Italian-Esperanto language
pair to Apertium.

To do so my plan is to install Apertium and play it in the next days,
initially through small improvements, then proposing a new language
pair.

I hope this is good news for you. Before to post question to the mailing
list, I will refer to the online documentation.

Thank you for your attention.

All the best,

Federico
