if you check Pankaj's GitHub server
https://github.com/pankajksharma/py-apertium you will see that he advanced
quite a lot. There is still work to be done to debug the patching algorithm
(I believe some incompatible patches are applied sometimes) and of course
it still has to be integrated as part of the regular Apertium pipeline to
improve the -m translation memory option of the apertium command.

I see this as completely independent of improvements to the English-Hindi
language pair, which are probably a very valuable project.

Browser plugins would be cool too but I am not sure if this has been partly
done as part of the Geriaoueg effort (please check). Also, maybe it does
not constitute a proper 3-month project. One interesting thing would be a
plugin that actually runs Aperitum locally, perhaps turning Java into
Javascript.
