Hello, My name is Tejasvi Chebrolu (chebrolutejasvi on Apertium Freenode). I am a student of Computational Linguistics at the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. I was looking at the possible GSoC 2020 projects and I found the "Adopt an unreleased language pair" to be something that I would be interested in working on.
I looked through the possible language pairs and I thought I would work on English - Telugu(a South Indian language) pair. I have started the coding challenge for the same. I, however, am also equally fluent in Hindi and I was wondering whether a Hindi - Telugu language pair would be a better choice for GSoC. Any guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Also, I was reading through the Apertium Wiki and I understand that we need to get in touch with a mentor who can guide us better.
