Subject: Will Congress Finally Defund Planned Parenthood?
The fight to Defund Planned Parenthood is back!
I know you remember our struggle earlier this year when Speaker Boehner
claimed to be
ready to fight for Life.
And I know you remember how Boehner caved when President Obama responded
that Planned
Parenthood would never be defunded.
Americans for Life gave it every we had in that fight, but we were all
failed by
Speaker Boehner when he passed a budget that included funding for the baby
killing
organization.
Well, now we have a second chance!
Just this last week, Rep. Denny Rehberg (MT-R) introduced H.R. 3070 into
the House of
Representatives.
The key part of this bill is the complete removal of all federal funds to
Planned
Parenthood.
It even cuts off funding to the Health and Human Services Department if
they try to
privilege abortion-related business, such as preventing medical centers from
participating
in key Medicare programs if they do not encourage abortions.
It also protects doctors who stand up for life and against abortion
procedures.
The end of Planned Parenthood is one of the most important victories
along the path to
our ultimate goal: the complete end to abortion.
And without government subsidizing, Planned Parenthood will find its
profits drying
up.
They will have to close more and more clinics, meaning thousands and
thousands of
babies will be saved.
This is what we have been working for dorothy.
But its not over yet.
Right now H.R. 3070 is in limbo.
Republican leadership in the House is waiting to act on it. It's up to
you and I to
force their hand.
We have to make sure that they know this bill is not optional.
Pro-Life Americans want Planned Parenthood defunded and we want it done
with this
budget!
Speaker Boehner gave up on this fight once before, and I suspect that
when things get
hard he will again.
I ask you today to call his office at (202) 225-0600 and voice your
support for Life
and H.R. 3070.
We have to make sure that Boehner supports H.R. 3070, or he will face the
consequences.
The fight over the Debt Ceiling showed the entrenched leadership what a
small group of
dedicated believers could do.
If all pro-life Americans stand firm on this, the Republican leaders will
fall in
line.
This could be our chance to break Planned Parenthood’s back once and for
all!

demand he support
