On Monday, we'll be announcing PodCorps.org, which matches audio/ video stringers to spoken-word events using the Eventful API. You can get a sneak preview at http://podcorps.org, but please don't blog or link to the site until Monday so we have time to fix a few bugs, etc.

In addition to the chicken-and-egg problem -- we need events to attract stringers, and vice versa -- I'm still not happy with the Eventful integration. At the moment, an event producer has to go to Eventful, enter the event and perhaps the venue, then add the tag "podcorps" so we'll notice the event. The problems I'm trying to solve are:

1. We don't have good contact info fro events so that an interested stringer knows whom to email or call.

2. For events not already in Eventful, it's a circuitous process if they start at our site. Should we replicate the entire event- and venue-entry system on our site using the Eventful APIs? Are there shortcuts for venues, for example, that would allow us to say "Copy/ paste the venue ID here?"

Any feedback from the Eventful developers community would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
