get everything from
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/directory/apacheds/trunk-with-dependencies
and build everything from there (including the server).
It will take a while, but it's safe.
Thanks for the info. Just did a clean of everything deleted all
directories downloaded the whole trunk
in a diff location... and on mvn compile is still see one issue..

Try mvn clean install instead of mvn compile. I'm afraid that mvn
compile does not store the built jars into the repos.
