I'm a software developer, so I know how frustrating one-off bugs can
me, but believe me when I say I don't think I did anything all that
weird, and definitely saw an issue, things I know were done were
marked undone, and other things were duplicated... (again, my theory
is still a server-time issue but I don't know how the synch algorithm
works, if that's actually a plausible cause)

I did the Reset and now after some futher un-duping and re-done-ing
things seem in order, and I did another synch and it still seemed ok
(haven't tried putting in test items). So I'm just gonna chalk it up
to a transient glitch and keep synching w/ Toodledo.

I do understand the value of the 3rd party synch, but I gotta say it's
less important to me now that I've seen how good Apple's synch is if
you replace or upgrade the device, whatever disk-image-based (that's a
guess) thing they're doing seems to do everything well (except the
order of the icons on the home screen :-)
