Thanks for getting back with us. We would advise you to first start by syncing the old iPhone to iTunes. This will create a back- up on iTunes just in case something does not work out. Then, sync Todo with Toodledo.com and afterwards, log into your Toodledo account with a web browser to verify your tasks synced properly. If everything looks good, take your new iPhone and sync Todo with the same Toodledo.com account. It is possible to have multiple devices sync to one Toodledo.com account. Make sure that all of your tasks download correctly on your new iPhone. Then you will want to create a new account on Toodledo.com for your wife and sync it with the old iPhone. You need to sync your wife's iPhone with a new account otherwise her data will overwrite yours in the future.
This is the safest way to transfer your tasks although it does use a third-party system (Toodledo.com). If you experience any problem, let us know and we will be happy to assist you further.
