Hi, I just received my iPhone as a birthday gift and though I am a
long time Mac User (Summer 1984) and Zire 72 User, I am quite
skeptical about using the iPhone as my PDA.

I used DateBk5 heavily and fine tuned it to my way of getting things
done. None of this is real pertinent except to point out that by using
"Floating Events" instead of "Appointments" I could integrate my To-Do
Lists into my calendar of DateBk5.

So it's hard for me to understand how a ToDo List can be effective if
it isn't a part of your calendar planning view - when someone calls me
for a meeting on next Wednesday - I need to see that I have a list of
things to do in a town on the other side of the county for that day.

The iPhone switches quite slowly as compared to a PDA so I would hate
having to bounce between iCal and a ToDo manager.

TIA,
Allan
