I end up editing tasks a lot - shifting the due date, mainly. The added step of having to hit the task once to view it and then a second time before I could edit would be a major pain for me. The fact that touching a task takes you directly to an editable page is on reason I chose ToDo over Things, etc.
Please don't change this!
