So what's happening is whenever I close Todo on iPhone to use another
app Todo loses everything except the main Lists plus a black line
below the Lists header with a pale text saying Tags: and then one of
my tags. Or, the Lists are also gone and the screen is headed Appigo
Sync Services with the text Unfiled and today's date on the black line
and the message Appigo Sync Service Not Found. This even happens
beside my desktop with Appigo Sync running.
I can only sync iPhone if I'm at my desktop with Appigo Sync running
and tap Reset Synchronisation Data, then everything shows up ok. If
I'm not near my desktop or the desktop is asleep I get: Appigo Sync
Service Not Found. So this basically means I can only access my todos
on Todo if I keep it open and next to my desktop! - not very useful!

Should I reinstall Todo? Can I do that without paying for it again?

Any suggestions would be very welcome.
