Thank you for your response.

Custom lists do appear both before and after a data reset. The item  
count numbers are blank when I first open the app, but display  
correctly after a reset. Before a reset, new items can be entered  
correctly, but disappear once saved. After a reset new to do items  
remain visible and operate as expected.

In fact the entire app appears to behave correctly following a reset,  
but only for that session. Once I switch to another app, no more to do  
items until a reset is performed.
