Will OS 3 permit other apps to access the calendar? If so, that could be a solution (somehow).
I'd really like a much better event notification system in the i- device calendar. The fact that when you unlock the device, any alarms vanish is just ridiculous! It definitely needs a snooze, too. Palm had a much better implementation of the basic PIMs than Apple has ever managed and that was over 10 years ago.
